Collaborators
Project Overview
In Australia, the Inland Rail is a fast freight backbone connecting the way goods are moved between the states of Victoria and New South Wales.
This project focuses on transforming how we move freight by upgrading the existing 305-kilometre rail route between Melbourne and the Victoria-NSW border at Albury-Wodonga by improving clearance for double-stacked freight trains and oversized vehicles at key locations.
Project Scope
MBB are engaged to assist the project team with the ECI phase (Early Contractor Involvement) and through to the (D&C) phase (Design & Construct).
Our engagement involves the ongoing development of the ECI Phase with the anticipation of commencing construction before the end of 2022.
MBB are involved with the Commercial aspects of the project including day to day management of the ECI Contract. We are also bringing the D&C aspect to conclusion including continuous liaison with ARTC with regard to design, variations and programme.
Our greatest achievement to date is keeping the Client fully informed during the ECI process to ensure budget, programme and social expectations are maintained.
