Introducing MBB’s Project Controls Manager, Andres Santiago Torres (Santi)

In early 2020, Santi relocated to Australia from Colombia to start his post-graduate studies in Civil Engineering and commence a career with MBB. Santi has extensive experience in delivering significant infrastructure abroad and leverages this experience to provide value to our clients in Australia. Santi has held several construction management roles in South America and the USA where he has gained exposure to road, rail, tunnelling, and utility projects delivered under various procurement models. He has provided a range of services to our Victorian clients, including commercial support, project controls, procurement and engineering support in delivery.

Santi has recently been engaged at the Gippsland Line Upgrade and is supporting procurement & commercial matters while improving elements of the Alliance’s reporting process. Before this, he successfully implemented complex project controls and management reporting systems for MBB in our role as the Clerk of Works on Cladding Safety Victoria’s Cladding Rectification Program. In his spare time, he has finished his Masters Degree in Construction and Infrastructure Management, achieved CPEng NER status through Engineers Australia and is now on the National Engineering Register.
